Our Commitment

Bug-A-Pest Termite & Pest Control wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, zoom, or other assistive technology. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What We've Done

In October 2026 we reviewed every page of this site on computers and phones, using automated accessibility testing and keyboard-only checks, and made these improvements:

  • A “Skip to main content” link and clearly marked page regions (header, navigation, main content, footer)
  • A visible outline on links, buttons and form fields when you move through the page with a keyboard
  • Text and button colors adjusted so they meet the WCAG contrast ratios
  • Headings in a logical order on every page
  • Descriptions for images, and titles for the embedded map and video
  • A labeled service request form that works with browser autofill and announces errors and confirmations
  • A chat assistant that can be opened, used and closed (Esc key) with a keyboard, with new replies read out by screen readers
  • Pages that resize for phones and zoom, and animations that turn off when your device is set to reduce motion

We check the site in current versions of Chrome, Safari and Firefox, and re-check pages when we add or change content.

Known Limitations

  • The Google map and the YouTube video are provided by those companies, and we can't change how they work. Our address and phone number are always listed as text on the same page.
  • The chat assistant gives automated answers. For anything important, please call, text or email us.
